A Powerpoint/PPT report extracts data from The Anywhere Platform into a Powerpoint file for presentation. The PPT report can contain multiple slides and contain multiple entities. PPT reports are well suited to governance meetings to review, for example, changes or risks. The slides can be sent to attendees in advance and used during the meeting.
When running a PPT report, the end user selects a Report Type. The report type defines the template for the report and the datasource which extract the data for inclusion in the report.
There are some key differences between standard reports created with a report template and a PPT report
There is no 'preview' and 'publish' stage as there is for standard reports.
When the PPT report is run, the PPT file is downloaded to the browser's download area. It is not possible to go back and look at PPT reports run previously in the system.
PPT reports cannot 'snapshot' data for later analysis in the way that a standard report can
PPT Report Types are created from the PPT Report Types Dashboard.
The dashboard can be accessed from the Configuration Workbench. From the menu, select Config Workbench under the Administration section.
From the configuration workbench, select PPT Reports from the Data and Reporting section
