The solution templates provided by The Anywhere Company come with a number of pre-configured entities. Sometimes there is a requirement to capture additional data points beyond the standard ones provided with the templates.
The following sections lists the entities that can be extended by solution template.
Additional attributes can be added to the user record. This might record, for example, an employee id or cost center.
From the menu, select Config Workbench under the Administration section.
From the configuration workbench, select 'Process Templates' from the 'Forms and Workflow' section.
Open the template User Data Form.
Click on the Fields tab.
Add the new field(s) to the process template. If required, add help text for the field to help end-users understand how the field should be completed. Refer to Adding Fields in the process template documentation for details.
Click on the Field Status Map and define which fields are visible, editable and required.
Save changes to the process template.
From the menu, select Admin Center under the Administration section.
From the administration workbench click on People.
Click on Edit on any of the persons listed.
Navigate to the User Data tab and validate that the new fields are shown.
Additional attributes can be added to the group record.
From the menu, select Config Workbench under the Administration section.
From the configuration workbench, select 'Process Templates' from the 'Forms and Workflow' section.
Open the template Group Data Form
Click on the Fields tab.
Add the new field(s) to the process template. If required, add help text for the field to help end-users understand how the field should be completed. Refer to Adding Fields in the process template documentation for details.
Click on the Field Status Map and define which fields are visible, editable and required.
Save changes to the process template.
From the menu, select Admin Center under the Administration section.
From the administration workbench click on Groups.
Click on Edit on any of the groups listed.
Navigate to the Group Data tab and validate that the new fields are shown.
Additional attributes can be added to tasks in a task plan. This might record, for example, if there is a particular skill needed for the task
From the menu, select Config Workbench under the Administration section.
From the configuration workbench, select Field Validations from the Forms and Workflow section.
Open the validation Task Plan User Data
Each row in the validation defines the additional field and the entity template it relates to. Entity templates are used to define different types of entities within an entity class. For example, project entities may have 'Agile' or 'Waterfall' entity templates. Refer to Entity Templates Overview for further details.
Up to a maximum of 5 user data fields can be added to a task plan per entity template.
Click on the '+' icon labelled Add at the bottom of the list of existing fields.
Click on Save when done.
Navigate to an entity using the entity template for which fields were just added.
Open the task plan and add a task. Note the new field(s) added to the task in the plan. It may be necessary to scroll to the right to see the new field(s).
