A subscription is the license type that a user account is associated with.
There are two types of subscription: Access and Content. Access subscriptions determine the overall access to features and functions within the tool and how the user can interact and utilise those features. A user has only one access subscription. Content subscriptions define the standard content a user has access to. A user can have multiple content subscriptions.
Subscriptions takes precedence in terms of a user's capabilities in the tool and cannot be superceded by other security measures such as access grants and security groups.
The capabilities of a subscription are determined by The Anywhere Company and cannot be changed or modified by Administrators.
A user has a single access subscription. This defines the overall access to features and functions within the tool. Each access subscription type has an associated set of possible access grants that can be given to a user. A user cannot be given an access grant that is not associated with their subscription. If a user's access subscription changes, they may lose access grants if they have grants which are not available with the new subscription.
The following table lists the access grants by subscription. Granting a user a particular access subscription does not confer all of the stated grants. It simply defines the possible grants that a user can have. Grants are added on the security page of the user's page. Refer to User Accounts for more detail.
Content subscriptions provide the user with access to specific content within the platform.
A user can have multiple content subscriptions. The following content subscriptions are available:
To check the number of subscriptions in use, navigate to the Administration workbench. This can be accessed from the pull-down menu by selecting 'Admin Center' under the 'Administration' section.
The subscriptions page will list the number of subscriptions in use. It will also show active user accounts where there has been no login for 90 days. This can be used to help identify possible subscription savings that can be made.
