This dashboard provides a way to analyse risks that have been raised against portfolios, programmes, projects, proposals, and services. The page is typically used as a drill-down from summary dashboards to show, for example, all risks associated with a particular project, or all risks escalated to programme level for a particular programme. The dashboard can therefore be used by different roles be it an individual project or programme manager or someone from the PMO looking across all risks.
Use the filter fields beneath the title bar to define what risks are displayed in the dashboard.
With the exception of portfolio and programme filters the filters support multiple values
This content area is used to highlight upcoming risk reviews. This is driven from the field ‘Next Review Date’ on the risk form.
By default, the time range is for the current year. Use the drop-down field in the top-right of the content area to switch to a different timeline such as the current month or next <n> months.
The heatmap provides a visual summary of risks according to their probability and impact.
Use the filters at the top of the dashboard to view all the risks with a particular probability or impact.
This table provides a list of all the risks meeting the filter criteria. Click on the ID to open the risk form. The risk form will show all risk fields and allow updating (depending on status). The form will also display available actions to the user such as assigning the risk or converting it to an issue. Comments can be raised against the risk. The form also provides a history of all changes to the risk.
To change the ordering of the table, click on a column header to order by that column or use the ‘Order By’ filter to the top right of the table.
Use the ‘Excel’ icon to export the table to Excel.
Risks cannot be created from this dashboard. Navigate to the proposal, project or service against which the risk should be logged and use the workbook to create a new risk. Alternatively, risks can also be created when submitting a status report.
Click on the risk ID in the risk table to open the risk form for editing. Not all fields may be editable in the given status.

After entering comments, navigate back to the ‘Info’ tab and click on ‘Save’.
Click on the risk ID in the risk table to open the risk form. Select the ‘History’ tab to view an audit trail of changes.
Click on the risk ID in the risk table to open the risk form. If the risk is not yet assigned, choose a person from the ‘Assigned To’ drop-down field and then click on the ‘Risk Assigned’ action button.
If the risk is already assigned, changed the ‘Assigned To’ field to the new assignee and click on the ‘Save’ button.
Click on the risk ID in the risk table to open the risk form. Open the comments tab to provide any commentary following the review.
If the risk is to remain open, specify a new date in the field ‘Next Review Date’. Other options at this point are to close the risk or turn it into an issue. Use the action buttons on the ‘Info’ tab to action the risk accordingly.
If the risk has materialized and needs to be tracked as an issue, open the risk form by clicking on the ID column in the risk table.
Click on the action button ‘Convert to Issue’ to turn the risk into an issue. Fields that are common to both the risk and the issue form will be copied to the issue form. Depending on configuration, the risk will either remain open or be closed automatically.
If the risk needs to be escalated to a higher level, for example programme or portfolio level, click on the ID of the risk in the risk table to open the risk form.
Select an escalation level against the field ‘Escalation Level’ and click on ‘Save’. The risk will then appear as an escalated risk on the programme or portfolio dashboard.
If the risk needs to be closed, open the risk form by clicking on the ID column in the risk table.
Click on the ‘Close Risk’ button to the top right of the form.
Use the filters to select the risks to be displayed.
Use the cog icon in the risk table to select which fields should be displayed in the table and exported.
Click on the ‘Excel’ icon in the risk table (to the right of the ‘Order By’ filter).
Q: There are no action buttons available to me on the risk form, other than ‘Save’.
A: Ensure that you have the correct authority to action the risk. Contact your Administrator if you think you should be able to action the risk.
Q: How do I exclude closed risks?
A: Use the status filter to select only ‘Open' statuses.
