This page will display recently created timesheets and provide the option to create a new one. The status of existing timesheets is indicated by an icon:
Pencil – Time sheet is open for editing.
Thumbs up (with question mark) – Time sheet is awaiting approval.
Thumbs up (without question mark) – Time sheet has been approved.
Hammer – Time sheet has been rejected.
Padlock – Time sheet has been frozen and cannot be changed.
To access this dashboard page, select 'Time Sheets' from the 'Time' section of the pull-down menu.
Enter text in the filter criteria to restrict time sheets displayed.
If the person logged in has been delegated responsibility for completing timesheets on behalf of another person there will be an additional filter 'User'. Use this to filter the timesheets to the user's own or those of a person for who they are the delegatee.
Click on the ‘+’ sign in this page to create a new timesheet. A pop-up list of time periods will be displayed. If you have been delegated responsibility for creating time sheets for one or more other users the pop up will also show a list of those users to select from.
Depending on the business rules defined by your organization, it is possible to create and submit time sheets for future periods for example if you are taking leave.
Time sheets can be created as a copy of another one. Open the existing time sheet and use the action fly-down menu to copy it.
Click on an existing time sheet to view it.
Click on an existing time sheet to open it. Depending on the status, the time sheet can be updated.
Once created, time sheets cannot be deleted. Provided the timesheet has not been frozen, lines in the timesheet can be deleted and new ones added. Alternatively a new timesheet can be created in addition to the original one. In this scenario it is recommended to delete any lines in the original timesheet to avoid duplication.
