The Anywhere Platform supports modelling of your organisation into a hierarchical structure consisting of teams. Teams can be used to group resources into their respective organisation unit or department as well as to track departmental financials, metrics and risks.
Teams can be created by navigating to the Organisation Tree which can be accessed from the Organisation section of the flydown menu.
From the Organisation Tree, click on the ‘+’ icon to create a new team.
Additional help when creating a team is available from the Team Page
The organisation hierarchy is modelled using the Organisation Tree which can be accessed from the Organisation section of the flydown menu.
Budgets, costs and benefits can be tracked for the team.
Click on a team in the Organisation Tree to open the Team Page. From here it will be possible to access the financial plan for the team where budgets can be captured and costs and benefits can be forecasted and tracked. Financials can be baselined for comparison reporting.
Management and reporting of departmental risks is supported for the team.
Click on a team in the Organisation Tree to open the Team Page. From here it will be possible to access the risk log for the team
Teams can be associated with a maturity model for the purpose of tracking the overall maturity level of the organisation.
The maturity model is defined against the team in the Team Page.
A maturity assessment is carried out through the use of a maturity score card which shows how a team is progressing in terms of its maturity.
Team scorecards are accessible from the Team Page
The health of a team is based on monthly departmental reporting.
Departmental monthly reports can be submitted from the Team Page and are used to enforce periodic reviews of the risk log, the Key Performance Indicators and maturity of the department.
Q: How are teams different to resource pools?
A: Teams may be the same as a resource pool but are modelled separately in order to support scenarios where resourcing is done in a cross-organisational manner. For example an organisation might contain Project Managers within different organisation units however they may be grouped into a single resource pool for the purpose of managing their allocation to work. Importantly, teams also support other departmental functions such as financial budgeting, forecasting and tracking as well as risk management and maturity reporting.
