Dashboard Templates

This page shows the dashboard template library. The library consists of dashboard templates which users can select from when creating a new dashboard.

This page can be accessed from the Configuration workbench. From the menu, select 'Config Workbench' under the 'Administration' section.

From the configuration workbench, select 'Dashboard Templates' from the 'Data and Reporting' section.

To add a dashboard template to the library the dashboard template must first be created.

To create the dashboard click on the dashboard (speedometer) icon in the title bar of the page, next to the search icon. Refer to Dashboard Configuration for further details.

Once the template has been created and is ready to be added to the library, the 'Is Template' flag should be checked on the dashboard. Refer to Dashboard Configuration for further details.

To edit a dashboard template, click on the ID column to the left of the list or the drill-down arrow to the right of the list.

This will display the Dashboard Template Detail page. From there it is possible to edit the dashboard template if the user has edit rights to the dashboard.

To delete a dashboard template , click on the ID column to the left of the list or the drill-down arrow to the right of the list.

This will display the Dashboard Template Detail page. From there it is possible to edit the dashboard template if the user has edit rights to the dashboard.

Once the template is in edit mode, there will be an option to delete the template.

As an alternative to deleting the template, it can be disabled which will remove it from the library of dashboards from which to create a new one.

To remove a dashboard template from the library , click on the ID column to the left of the list or the drill-down arrow to the right of the list.

This will display the Dashboard Template Detail page. From this page, click on 'Disable Template'  to remove it from the library.

To copy a dashboard template, click on the ID column to the left of the list or the drill-down arrow to the right of the list.

This will display the Dashboard Template Detail page. From this page, click on 'Copy Template'  to create a new one as a copy of this one.
