The Anywhere Platform supports the ability to perform 'What-If' analysis against the portfolio. This is a technique used to assess the potential impact of different scenarios on that portfolio. The process involves testing hypothetical scenarios or changes to specific variables to evaluate their potential impact on the portfolio's returns, risk, and other key performance metrics. This analysis can be valuable for decision-making, risk management, and strategic planning.
At the highest level, there are 3 stages:
Creating scenarios: Scenarios comprise a set of hypothetical targets in terms of cost, benefits, perrormance metrics and resource capacity. These are balanced against a hypothetical portfolio of investments which themselves have costs, benefits, performance metrics and resourcing requirements to fulfil. These investments can be ongoing projects and services as well as proposals for new projects.
Comparing scenarios: Once scenarios are defined, they can be compared to each other to assess their relative merits and alignment to the direction of the organisation.
Approving a chosen scenario: The chosen scenario is put forward for approval.
Align the live portfolio with the scenario: The chosen scenario is compared with the live scenario to identify changes that need to be made
Scenarios can be created by navigating to the What If Scenarios Dashboard and clicking on the '+' icon.
Existing scenarios can be viewed by navigating to the What If Scenarios Dashboard and clicking on a scenario listed. This will open the Scenario Editor.
Once open, existing scenarios can be edited provided they are not in the 'Approved' state.

A list of the actions required to the live portfolio will be displayed.
