The Anywhere Platform supports exporting of data in a variety of formats including: Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Powerpoint, PDF and Microsoft Project.
Most dashboards displaying data support the ability to export that data to Excel. This is indicated by the presence of an 'Excel' icon to the top right of the data set.
Some pages may use a different icon (for example the portfolio hierarchy). If there is no Excel icon that can be found, check the end user help for the page which will advise whether export to Excel is possible.
If it is not possible to find a dashboard containing the data to be exported there are a couple of options:
To create a dashboard containing the required data and then exporting that data. Go to the Dashboards Overview for information about how to create a dashboard.
Use the Advanced Search to search for the data and select the columns required. Results from the advanced search can be exported to Excel.
Reports produced in the platform can be exported to PDF. This can be done either following submission of the report or when opening a previously run report.
Check the Reports Overview for details about how to run reports in the platform.
When exporting to PDF it is usually possible to select which sections to Show or Hide from the report. This allows users to tailor the content so that it is relevant to the intended recipient.
Data can be exported to Powerpoint in two ways:
The report may support export to Powerpoint. This is indicated by the presence of a Powerpoint icon in the list of export options for a report. Examples of such reports are the Project Status Report.
The platform supports the configuration of a Powerpoint report. This differs from other reports in that when the report is run, it is immediately exported to a PPT file. There is no report displayed on the screen and the report does not appear in the list of previously run report.
Check the Reports Overview for details about how to run reports in the platform.
