This page provides a comprehensive overview of the portfolio including basic information, escalations, health, reports, timelines and contents.
Save. Click on this button to save changes to the time sheet without submitting.
Submit. Click on this button to save and submit the time sheet for approval. In order for the time sheet to be successfully submitted it must adhere to the rules defined by the time sheet policy. These can be viewed from the action pull-down.
Approve (available to person approving time sheet). Click on this button to approve the time sheet.
Freeze (available to person freezing time sheet). Click on this button to freeze the time sheet.
Reject (available to person approving time sheet). Click on this button to reject the time sheet and send it back for editing.
Reopen (available on a submitted but not frozen time sheet). Select this to reopen the time sheet so that changes can be made.
Notes and history Select this to view the history of changes to the portfolio
Graphical View Select this to view a graphical representation of the steps in the portfolio process from planning through to closure.
To change the basic attributes of the portfolio, such as its name, click on the pencil icon in the ‘Portfolio Details’ content area. This will make those fields editable.
Once changes have been made click on the ‘Tick’ icon to save them.
The ‘Portfolio Escalations’ content area shows a summary of risks, issues and scope changes that have been created for entities (proposals, projects, services, programmes) in the portfolio and which have been escalated to portfolio level.
Click on the drilldown (right-hand) arrow to view the list if risks, issues and scope changes that make up the summary numbers.
The portfolio health is based on status reports that have been run for the portfolio with the overall health being that of the most recent status report.
Click on the drilldown (right-hand) arrow to view previous reports.
This content area provides a list of reports or visualizations that can be run for the portfolio:
Create Summary Report creates a status report for the portfolio. This is the report which drives the overall portfolio health.
Portfolio What-If Scenario navigates to the Scenario Comparison page, used for portfolio 'What-If' analysis.
Resource Balancer is used to manage resource capacity, demand and allocation across the portfolio. Used effectively, it will help avoid over or under-utilisation of resources.

Click on the '+' sign in the title bar to add content to the portfolio
This content area provides a summary chart of portfolio financials
By default the view is for the current fiscal year. Use the 'Year' filter to switch between fiscal years.
Forecast Cost represents the sum of all forecast costs for entities in the portfolio
Actual Benefit represents the sum of forecast financial benefits anticipated across entities in the portfolio
Actual Cost represents the sum of actual costs for entities in the portfolio
Actual Benefit represents the sum of actual financial benefits realized across entities in the portfolio
Approved Budget represents the sum of approved budgets for entities in the portfolio
EAC represents the sum of the Estimated costs At Completion across all entities in the portfolio. It is calculated as the sum of all actuals costs up to and including the previous month plus the forecast costs for the current and future months.
