A programme is a collection of related projects that might need to be managed in a coordinated way to achieve the business outcomes that may not be achievable as a single project.
A programme is a collection of projects that are managed as a group to achieve efficiencies of scale. Whilst a project typically represents a single, focussed effort, programmes constitute a complete package of work.
All data inputted or changed in a programme is audited and tracked so that a full history is available and traceable.
Like forms, programmes are configurable and any data in a form is available to the reporting engine.
Programmes can be viewed by navigating to the Programmes page This page is also available from the flydown menu under the ‘Portfolio’ category.
Programmes can be created by navigating to the Programmes page and clicking on the ‘+’ button. This page is also available from the flydown menu under the ‘Portfolios’ category.
Once a programme is created, contents can be added to it. Contents can be proposals, projects or services.
To add contents to a programme, navigate to the Programmes page and click on a programme to open the programme overview page. Contents are added from the Programme Contents section in the overview page.
Status reporting is available at the programme level. The report pulls in information from the contents such as escalations and other reports, to provide an aggregated summary for snapshotting. Additional commentary can also be added.
To create a status report, navigate to the Programmes page and click on a programme to open the overview page.
Click on the ‘Current RAG’ circle in the ‘Health’ content are to open the programme report list.
The top item on the list will be the programme level report. Click on the ‘+’ sign to create the report (assuming it hasn’t been created already).
Confirm the correct programme and time period for the report and then click on the right-hand arrow to generate the report.
Review each section of the report, making changes where necessary.
At the end of the review cycle there will be a tick icon. Click on this to finalise and publish the report.

The Health Content area will show reports run for the current period, the current RAG (from the most recent programme status report) and a breakdown of the health of entities in the programme contents.

The programme report list shows report status for the current period at both programme level and for entities in the programme contents, for example projects.
For entities that have reported status it will be possible to view the report. For entities that have yet to submit their report there will be an ‘envelope’ icon to send a reminder email.
The Programme’s overall health is determined by the latest Programme Status Report that has been published.
To view the health of a programme, navigate to the Programmes page and click on a programme to view the Programme Overview page.
The ‘Health’ content area in the Programme Overview shows the health from the most recent status report.
To see all reports for the programme, click on the ‘Current RAG’ circle in the ‘Health’ content area.
Programme controls comprise risks, issues and scope changes. These can be raised directly at programme level. They can be raised either during the creation of a programme status report or through the programme workbook
Risks, issues, and scope changes raised against entities in the programme can be escalated to programme level.
