This page provides a rolled-up view of milestones, resourcing, and financials for a programme. In the case of resources and financials it is also possible to drill-down further into the resourcing or financial plan and make changes for each entity in the programme contents.
Enter text in the filter criteria to restrict the programmes displayed.
This tab shows a rolled-up view of milestones, combining milestones at programme level with those of entities that make up the programme (proposals, projects, and services).
It is not possible to edit the milestones from the programme workbook. To do so, navigate back to the programme overview page and click on the drill-down for the ‘Timelines’ content area. This will bring up the programme plan workbook which allows editing.
· This content area shows a table of resourcing data for entities in the programme. All numbers are in hours.
Click on the 3 dots to the right of the entity name to open the resourcing plan. See below for further details of the capabilities supported in the resourcing plan.
The pop-up resourcing plan allows editing of resource demand and allocations. It can be accessed from the resourcing tab of the programme workbook by clicking on the 3 dots to the right of the entity name.
Use the Collapse/Expand All link to expand or collapse a large resourcing plan.
The plan can be shown in Hours, Days or FTEs and at different levels of detail including days, weeks, months quarters or years. Use the 2 drop-down lists to the right of the title bar to adjust these.
Click on the ‘+’ icon to create new demand.
Click on ‘scales’ icon to compare the resourcing plan with the workplan.
Click on the ‘magnifying glass’ icon to search for available resources with a particular role or skill from a particular starting point.
Clicking on the person icon for an item of demand supports the following actions:
Editing, copying, deleting, or shifting demand
Allocating resources, forwarding resource requests to another team or rejecting resource requests.
Adding comments to demand
Viewing the cost/revenue rules applicable to the demand. These will drive automatic labour cost calculations.
Viewing the history of changes to demand
Click on the baseline tab to view previous baselines and to create a new baseline of the plan.
· This content area shows a table of financial data for the programme. All numbers are in the default currency.
Click on the 3 dots to the right of the entity name to open the financial plan for the entity. See below for further details of the capabilities supported in the financial plan.

Use the Collapse/Expand All link to expand or collapse a large financial plan.
The data can be filtered by cost category and which metrics to display (Past Actuals and Future Plan, all plan and actuals, planned only or actuals only). Use the drop-down fields in the timeline header row to adjust these.
Click on the ‘+’ icon to create a new cost line.
Click on the ‘cog’ icon to view and change the settings for the plan.
A series of cogs to the right of the line item, indicates that the cost is being calculated automatically from resource demand. Planned and actual costs for these cannot be edited.

Use the budgets tab to define budgets for the entity.
The amount can be negative to cater for scenarios where budget has been removed or an error has been made when entering the budget.

Use the baselines tab to view financial baselines created for the entity and create new ones.
The baseline is a snapshot of the whole financial plan.

Use the allocations tab when operating a cost recharge model for project and programme financials.
Costs can be recharged to an organisation unit on a percentage or fixed basis.

Use the benefits tab when operating a cost recharge model for project and programme financials.
Costs can be recharged to an organisation unit on a percentage or fixed basis.

The cost model tab allows for the creation of a spreadsheet-style model to be associated with the plan. This data can be used to enrich financial reporting for programmes and their contents.
Click on ‘Add Row’ and ‘Add Column’ to add rows and columns.
Click on the cell to bring up the basic cell editor to change, text justification, colour and bold/underline style.
Click on ‘Copy Existing Sheet’ to copy date from one of the other tabs in the financial plan.
Shows the history of changes to the financial plan.
Q: How can I change the milestones?
A: The programme workbook does not allow editing of the milestones. It is recommended to navigate back to the programme overview page and click on the drill-down in the ‘Timelines’ content area. This will bring up the programme plan workbook which allows editing of the workplan and programme level and for each of the entities in the programme.
