This page provides a comprehensive overview of the project including basic information, health, financials, resourcing, risk, issues, scope changes, time sheets, task management, outcomes and deliverables and supporting documents. It provides the ‘entry point’ for a project in terms of reporting, monitoring and updating.
The overview page is the launch pad for all actions associated with a project. Use the following table as a quick guideline for managing your project. Some actions have multiple pathways.
Click on ‘Create Status Report’ to the top right of the overview page to create a status report for the project.
Refer to the Project Status Reporting End User Guide for further help with submitting status reports.
The large circle shows the RAG status of the most recent status report. Smaller circles show the RAG for each of the tracked disciplines (risks, resourcing, issues, financials, and milestones).
Click on the drill-down to view all status reports submitted for the project.
Each project is associated with a project ‘form’ which defines the basic attributes for the project such as the name, start/end date, region, and project ID. The form is associated with a digitized workflow which defines the approvals needed for each stage in the project.
The form and workflow are based on the project type. Different project types may collect different attributes and follow a different workflow process.
The summary area shows the key attributes of the project and provides the launch point for project governance.
Click on the drill-down arrow to access the project form and associated governance actions.
Fields in the project form will be editable depending on where the project is in its lifecycle.
The project form will show any governance actions available to the user. Governance actions typically include approval checkpoints or ‘gates’.
If you are a Project Manager or Stakeholder with responsibility for acting on stages in a project lifecycle, for example submitting a project for ‘Gate Review’ or approving a project to move to the next stage then use the drill-down from the Project Summary content area to access the project form.
Any available actions for the user will be displayed as buttons at the top right of the form.
Click on the ‘Down’ arrow next to the ‘Save’ button to access the form actions menu. Select ‘Graphical View’ to show a graphical representation of the governance process. Select ‘Notes and History’ to see the history of changes and notes added to the project.
