Navigation

There are 5 key methods of navigating through The Anywhere Platform:

1. Landing page buttons: These come in the form of hero buttons and secondary buttons that take you to key journeys related to your role

2. Alerts and Actions: Also found on your landing page, these alerts let you know if there are specific items awaiting your action

3. Fly down menus: Your user menu provides additional links to other features and pages, whereas your dashboard menu provides links to your dashboards and subscriptions

4. Drilldown buttons: Found on deeper levels in the system, drilldown buttons will take you to a page that contains further detail and more granular data

5. Breadcrumb: A running history of the most recent pages you have visited in your current session, allowing you to easily get back to them if needed

Your landing page is the first page you will see after you log in.

The main navigation methods available from your landing page are:

1. Hero buttons: Big colourful blocks that denote primary user journeys for your role and lead to your most important features

2. Secondary buttons: Smaller circles found towards the top-right of your landing page welcome bar that represent less important, but still regularly used features

3. Alerts and Actions: Contains links to pages with items requiring your attention and action

4. Recent Activity: Hyperlinks taking you to relevant entities or pages relating to something that has recently happened in the system

Alerts and Notification use numbered markers to let you know that there are items requiring your action or attention.

The two places where you will see these are:

1. Alerts and Actions: With links tailored to your role allowing you to easily get to pages or items that frequently require your action

2. Dashboard menu: Notifies you of any resourcing updates or actions related to your resource entities such as projects or resource pools

When clicking on the corresponding icon or list item for a notification it will navigate you to the appropriate page to handle that item.

Your fly-down menu provides access to various features that may not be immediately accessible from your landing page.

Menu items are categorised into menu sections, and certain items may not be visible to your user if you do not have the appropriate security group.

To open your fly down menu:

1. In your top navigation bar find the icon that is three horizontal lines

2. Clicking on this icon will open your fly down menu

3. Click on a menu item to navigate to the corresponding page or feature

The dashboard menu provides access to your dashboards and any shared dashboards that you have subscribed to.

To open your dashboard menu:

1. In your top navigation bar find the icon that is a dial

2. Clicking on this icon will open your dashboard menu

3. There will be two dashboard lists in the menu, one for personal dashboards and another for shared dashboards you have subscribed to

4. Click on one of the dashboard menu items to open the dashboard

Drilldown buttons can be found on certain content areas and will navigate you to a deeper level that provides more detail and granularity.

To drilldown on a content area:

1. Look at the top-right area of the content area, opposite the title if there is one

2. If drilling down is possible there will be a orange arrow icon

3. Click the icon to drilldown

The breadcrumb allows you to easily navigate back to your most recently visited pages during your current session.

To use the breadcrumb:

1. Scroll to the top of your page

2. Beneath the top navigation bar will be a breadcrumb that lists the most recent pages you've just visited

3. Click on one of the items in the breadcrumb to go to that page
